Valuatum Platform delivers equity research figures from clients to their customers (often from brokers to institutional investors) in a format that is widely reusable. The idea is to take full advantage of the valuable and extensive work of sell-side research analysts and thus save the time of both the broker and their customer.

Valuatum Platform is designed by analysts for broker and fund management industry. It is not designed by IT-professionals like many other solutions on the market, which is why Valuatum has been able to redesign some processes (automatic year change, automatic evening of assets and liabilities, dynamic link strucutures) inside the Excel valuation model.

Traditional way
Currently the major part of broker research numbers stays within the brokers excel-models. Only a small part of it goes to the customers in static PDF-documents where the numbers are difficult to utilize for investors' own analysis.

Valuatum solution
All the research numbers from broker's excel models are provided to customers' own analysis: 9000 parameters/company can be found and more importantly also used by customers. Besides graphs and tables showing company research numbers very transparently, the system includes also time-series information about old estimates, aggregated sector information, seach-tools for all data and comprehensive yet easy-to-use valuation models for all companies.

How Valuatum Platform works?

Users can create, modify and access research data using any of the methods mentioned below. This is possible as all the figures are always updated and acquired from the database.

How is the research data produced and transferred to the database?
Excel model
Usually analysts use our Excel model to produce equity research data. They can also link their old models to our Excel model. Figures are transferred to the database by clicking one button in the Excel model.
ValuModels
It's possible to start doing analysis with our Java valuation model, but it can be easier to start with Excel model and then use Java model to adjust and change estimates. Another option is to buy prefilled historical data and start immediately doing analysis with ValuModels. Figures are saved to database from the Java model.
Other ways
It's also possible to transfer data through different interfaces to our database, these are used e.g. by consensus data providers. We also offer a possibility to buy prefilled historical data to a model from different data providers.

How the research data is handled in the system and database?
The share prices are updated everyday using the previous closing prices. All figures, e.g. pricing figures are then calculated again every day, so they are always up to date. The figures are also calculated again when the models are updated to the database.

How the reserach data is accessed and modified again?
ValuViews The easiest way to to access research data is to use web interface called ValuViews. It allows users to see analyst's estimates (yearly and quarterly data), all key figures and run different kind of rankings and comparisons between companies. Also IR-Consensus service uses this interface to present all the same information using consensus figures of a certain company.

In ValuViews users can also change estimate parameters and all other figures, ratios, etc. are updated based on these changes. Users can also save these models with their own scenarios to the database.
ValuModels
With our Java valuation model you can easily access the research data from the database. You can use it just to browse one company's figures but it allows you to easily change all estimate parameters (so you can update your own analysis or do your own one using somebody elses figures as a "raw data"). E.g. institutional investors use ValuModels to make their own analysis or test different kind of scenarios.
Excel model All the research data can be downloaded from database to our Excel model. This is mostly used by analysts who either start with another analysts figures or they want to update their own models.

All three models (ValuViews, ValuModels and Excel model) can be used at the same time in creating different kinds of scenarios. All models present the same figures since they utilize the common database. Having three different models makes it easy for different groups to use the one they prefer

Valuatum system differs from the standard system in the number of outputs as well as in the usage of the excel-model. Generic core model makes the year-change and balancing the assets and liabilities easier for analysts.
