Increase your analyst team's productivity on value-added equity research
Valuatum's tools are designed to automate repetitive tasks in the analysis process: building and maintaining the model library, inputting and adjusting financials, producing and distributing reports, and managing data. The Valuatum Sell-side solution allows analysts to spend their time where it matters: researching companies, developing a perspective on their future, and communicating their rationale to clients.
Software suite with integrated model library and data management
Take the hassle out of maintaining coherent, up-to-date data and company models. Valuatum's Sell-side solution offers a structured way to store all the data needed for equity research.
- Consolidate data feeds from multiple sources, including historical financials, consensus estimates, share prices, FX rates, indices, and more
- Access and edit company models through multiple channels: Excel models, web interface, or Java applet
- Centralized back-ups, with possiblity to revert to earlier versions of saved company models
Automated company valuation models
Valuatum's model automates several aspects of company analysis, such as automatically balancing the balance sheet, handling current year changes, and updates of the model version. This ensures analysts always have an internally consistent, up-to-date view into all companies followed.
Standardized report templates
All data stored in the database can be used to populate Word and PowerPoint templates, significantly speeding up the production of research products. Graphs and tables can be filled with a single click. The templates also allow you to include data from multiple companies, e.g., for producing sector reports.
Distributing research through interactive on-line interface
In addition to reports in Word, PowerPoint, and PDF format, easily distributed via e-mail or an on-line research library, Valuatum also offers the unique possibility to distribute research in an interactive, re-usable format. End users can use a web-based interface to create their own scenarios based on the analyst's estimates. This provides considerably more flexibility for investors to test the implications of their views compared with traditional sensitivity analyses.
The web-based interactive research database allows users to view individual companies with multiple views available, including quarterly and divisional breakdown, DCF/EVA valuation, analyst comments, and review of historical estimates’ accuracy. Users are also able to change the analyst's estimates to test their own scenarios - the model automatically recalculates after any changes to remain internally consistent. Also included are a number of interactive tools for cross‐company comparisons, including filtering, ranking, XY scatter diagrams, etc., as well as a searchable PDF report library.
The layout and features of the web interface can be tailored according to client wishes. Below are some examples from our existing clients:
